FlamingAxe186 • 2 yr. ago • Edited 2 yr. ago I believe with the Forgotten Realms' history of incorporating things from other settings through estranged magical events, like the spellplague, Warforged would have to have been created in Eberron and somehow traversed over to the Realms.

Warforged may be built in the Forgotten Realms, as a kind of covergent evolution in design. The Realms has had many exceptionally talented mages, and it's very easy to imagine that one of them invented the Warforged, a kind of intelligent construct. Well they have returned back to Faerun and it's 10 years later and the Warforged have won and it's basically Terminator Future but in the Sword Coast. Had a cool cliffhanger ending where they faced the Lord of Blades and captured the player's character who is a Warforge.

Background is that the warforged were designed by gnomes, specifically a now-long-dead gnomish civilization, originally to be civil servants. • 5 mo. ago I get it but from a lore standpoint Warforged do not exist in Faerun/Forgotten Realms setting. If they did put them in then there would be a whole other sect of people complaining about accuracy of the game world. Unfortunately no way to please everyone so they just stuck with lore accuracy.
